Jack Crompton is the Mayor of the Resort Municipality of Whistler, first elected in 2018 and now serving his third term after being re-elected in the 2022 general election. Before entering full-time politics, he built a career in transportation and technology, founding Whistler Resort Cabs and later Ridebooker, a Whistler-based transportation software company. Crompton has deep roots in the community — his grandparents were among the original shareholders in the Garibaldi Lift Company. He also serves on the boards of the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District, Tourism Whistler, and the Audain Art Museum, and is currently pursuing a PhD in municipal law at UBC.
