Whether you're looking for a memorable fall morning on the water, wanting to try a selection of new paddleboards and the latest gear, or hone in on your skills, this will be a great way to start your day in Whistler. Explore one of Whistler's iconic lakes and learn from a certified instructor who will be on hand throughout the session to offer guidance, tips, and support. Please note: Additional session details will be emailed to participants closer to the event, including the meeting location, what to bring, and recommended clothing and footwear.

Matt Gunn

mountain enthusiast, skier, dad, planner

Matt Gunn is a community planner in Squamish who has a passion for spending time in the alpine. He has written several guidebooks including Spearhead Backcountry Atlas, Spearhead Traverse Field Guide, Scrambles in Southwest British Columbia, and Hikes Around Invermere. He is currently working on a guidebook to ski touring in the Duffey and an update to his scrambles book.

Filmmaker, Educator, Adventurer

Levi Allen is an adventure filmmaker, YouTuber, and educator who grew up in the coastal mountains of British Columbia, where he first developed his love for storytelling in wild places. He directs Leftcoast Media House, a media company focused on adventure and documentary filmmaking, and co-runs Adventure Film Academy, teaching aspiring creators the craft of outdoor filmmaking. Alongside his wife, Levi built a following making YouTube content on van life, filmmaking education, and short films, growing his channel to hundreds of thousands of subscribers. His work blends technical filmmaking skill with a deep appreciation for human stories set against rugged, natural backdrops.
